Digital/New Products Account Executive in Dothan, AL

The Dothan Eagle is searching for an outgoing, skilled and detail-oriented sales professional to join our advertising team as a Digital/New Products Account Executive. This is a tremendous opportunity to aggressively sell online advertising products to businesses across the Wiregrass region.This individual will report to the Regional Digital Sales Manager working both independently and with advertising account executives to sell digital advertising campaigns. Advertising options cover multiple digital outlets including display advertising, social commerce, email marketing, targeted display advertising, mobile banners, video advertising, SEO and SEM. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid understanding of digital advertising trends that continue to evolve, which include display banners, mobile, email, social media, and search engine marketing. This position demands proactive prospecting, cold calling and closing skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with media sales staff. Must have the ability to develop a sales plan which includes category focus and or seasonal opportunities.Objectives/Goals ? Improve the company's digital sales revenue performance by supporting sales team's digital initiatives and achieving sales goals. ? Monitor new product development and launch new initiatives with sales teams and clients. ? Meet/exceed digital sales goals by working directly with sales reps on four-legged calls (when appropriate), as well as solo sales calls. ? Provide excellent customer service working with clients and our sales teams maintaining excellent relationships with both. ? Manage, prospect and sell our social commerce product. ? Deliver presentations to large groups at organized meetings or organize seminars we will host.Job Requirements ? Bachelor's preferred OR high school diploma AND 2-4 years of proven sales experience in Interactive platforms. ? Must have strong B2B consultative selling skills, written and verbal communication skills. ? 2+ years prior business to business sales experience preferred ? Must be detail oriented, have strong organizational and time management skills to work in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment ? This is an outside sales position that requires a valid Driver?s license with a good driving record ? Strongly prefer interactive/digital sales experience. ? Strong computer skills required. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong understanding of Internet advertising and Mobile advertising. ?
